I've never seen anything more beautiful in my life!!! My mother would have fainted if she saw this Patti. So purely Mary and Child. The best ever! I'm hoping I can use it as a desktop but if not its still saved! Words can't say what this photo does to me and for me. Thanks so much for sharing!

Excellent capture, Patti. Just about everything in Rome is amazing...the art, the stained glass windows, the architecture, the sculptures..everything. This is a beautiful example.
You know Patti that I was fortunate enough to visit the Vatican Museum. One of my regrets was that most photos I took were not good.
How wonderful to see what I saw expertly photographed and presented.
Thankyou !
This is excellent.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

"The more we come in contact with animals, and observe their behaviour, the more we love them, for we see how great is their care for their young." - philosopher Immanuel Kant
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

"Imperfection is beauty; madness is genius & it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. And when it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I'm really better than them."--Marilyn Monroe
