...........and of course most large parks in the UK have a Hall, the park being the original grounds tht belonged to the owners. We are fortunate that most of these Halls and Mansions are now owned by the National Trust in the UK and open to the public. I have posted a picture before of Lyme Hall from a very different view and in the Summer - the back view of the hall is quite splendid and was used in the filming of Pride and Prejudice and the scene when Darcy emerged from the lake - see here.

Patti, I'm wondering if you relied on your camera settings on this one or did you do some editing. This is superb - the colors and detail on the Hall itself is just awesome my friend. Faved.
I find this to be very top notch! Sandi♥

Very good Patti. If I drove to the back I don't think I'd every get out judging from the driveway. I'd most likely run out of gas. lol Like the night time feel to it. I'm with Bob. Where's the bar.

Gorgeous residence. I like those typical UK palaces, elegant and severe at the same time, with a thin charming which make them so fascinating,
I would like to have more time when back in UK for visiting some places like this one, but I'm always full of work and time is fading away everytime.
Good work.

You got perfect light for this shot, I like those windows kind of looking out blankly. The wide angle works well too, kind of distorts the dimensions in a way I really like so that the building could almost be a toy. Can I play?
