.....the arched walkway, Manchester Town Hall extension, Albert Square. I think this image works best of the ones I was working on for the contest,so I have swapped them around. :)
I am totally amazed by older architecture, I wonder how they did some of it, and with such great care ?? This has a grand peacefulness to it.......I can hear my somber footsteps echo as I slowly pass down the hall. Very nice perspective Patti. +fav
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
The blues on the walls, floor, and arches add to the great depth perception. It is amazing in a picture of light and darkness the wonderful variety of colors you were able to capture.
I agree with EJ!...negative-positive spaces..this beautiful image would have been a very good choice for the contest!..love the play of light and shadows.. and the great perspective!!
thanks everyone for the comments - another image that I was working on for the contest and I probably prefer this to the one I have entered, but too late! lol! I am having fun working on this subject and will post a few more.

This is more successful I think, because of the repeating pattern of the arches and the different colours in the sandstone. I sort of wish there wasn't so much black frame...but the image works for me.
