I think I can safely say that it's a given that the scenery up here will be beautiful but there are a few factors that make this image special. The use of light and shadow on the hillside, the road winding through the picture and lastly the sheep which give the image a sense of scale.
This is the type of shots that drew me to your gallery when I first started on here Fogz. This might be the pick of the litter. The road serpentineing its way through the countryside is beautiful. I like the wide angle and the view.
Good post.
Wow that's a great capture Patti. Lets go down to the Nags Head Inn for a pint.......no I'm too tired to walk......can you just roll me down there ?? :)LOL
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to OZ and the Emerald City. A very nice place to live. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE

You picture is a metaphor to me. I always want to see around the next corner. Yet, with this excellent composition's elevation, you show us our route into the future.
Patti - The clouds gave you most interesting lighting. The village and valley are lighted, while hilltops are under cloud cover - all providing fascinating shadows and highlights. Very nice! Thad
WOW!!!! That's about all I can say as I pick my jaw up off the floor. This is truly amazing. I love everything about this capture....did I mention that I like it....LOL. Faved and saved.
Beautiful, Patti - love the clouds breaking up the sunlight. You might want to clean your lens before you shoot next time so you don't get all those little white dots everywhere - LOL -
Hello Patti.........This scene you have captured is quite outstanding....I love how you have captured the light on the rolling terrain and the way you have used the road to lead the eye into the picture....This picture is indeed a pleasure to view.....Well done.....All the best to you Patti.............................Mick.
Wow!!! Where is this, and when can I move in? THis is a fantastic shot, an amazing landscape untouched by hand of man. Ooo if it could last forever! :D
