Your wide angle lens really takes great shots Foggy. That extra bit shows so much and really gives a feel of the lay of the land. Love the lighting in this one. Just a couple of places in the clouds looks a little overdone. Other then that, it is perfect.
I got this in the VB and knew it was yours as soon as I laid eyes on it. Wonderful vivid colors and I really like the shadows of the clouds on the landscape. Thanks for sharing this with us - it's a great piece of work -
You made this look like a painting!!..like the one on our toilet wall!...no, seriously we have a few 'countryside' paintings in there!.....but none better than this

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Amazingly Beautiful post!! Your title reminded me of a song my dad use to sing to us: From this valley they say you are going. I will miss your bright eyes and sweet smile. For they say you are taking the sunshine. That has brightened our pathway awhile. Come and sit by my side if you love me. Do not hasten to bid me adieu. But remember the Red River Valley and the cowboy that loves you so true.
Hello Patti....This landscape is a really striking effort....You have captured the low, glancing light and the strong shadows in the valley superbly...I also like the colours and there is a good contrast between the cool blue of the sky and the warmer tones in the land...I like this very much....Well done...All the very best to you Patti....................................Mick.
Lovely work with gaussian blur. I believe there's still some noise on the sky which needs being treated. Generally speaking and at full view is valid landscape for my desktop. Thanks for that. Ed.
