That's what we're talking about! ... What a great shot Bob! What I like: colours, composition, depth, "my desire to be in the picture", interest ...all 10. Fog is tricker to capture well than most realize. You nailed it. Awesome.
"Once you have heard the lark, known the swish of feet through hill-top grass and smelt the earth made ready for the seed, you are never again going to be fully happy about the cities and towns that man carries like a crippling weight upon his back."
- Gwyn Thomas
Thank you all for the very kind words. I owe a special thanks to RobNevin. Rob was the one to notify me of the flaw and worked very hard with me to attempt to determine how it got there. With no luck, I decided to pull the image. My thanks also to Neamh for his instruction on how to beter upload a file. I hope that these are betterr.

I'm really into goth rock and new wave. My favorite band is The Birthday Massacre. The guy in my avatar is, in fact, a guy. His name is Mana from the band Malice Mizer.
Amazing colors here. Especially on the redder horse. The fog also adds to the whole atmosphere. Only thing is it seems somewhat grainy or perhaps just lack of sharpness, but that's just nitpicking.
wow .. I think i've been past this place ... I don't live there any more so the names and numbers are a bit sketchy. ... oh what the hey ... Is this colorado ..284 (?).. just past bailey (i think) .. on the way to where Gaunella pass cuts over to 70 and georgetown.
Keefer,
Close but no Cigar. It is Colorado but it is southwest Colorado. It is on a dirt road to the old Silver and Gold town of Platoro. No zip code as it is a semi ghost town. It is 22 miles south of Antonito. Almost to the New Mexico sate line. This is the best kept secret in Colorado. If you livein the Denver area no body has ever heard of this area. That is why I love it down there. The San Juan Mountains have yet to give up all of their beauty to all photographers. You are correct about Gaunella Paass. If you have traveled over it then you saw some beautiful country,

My love for horses(I grew up in South Dakota)...and their free spirit is all expressed in this photo...plus the solitude of the area...that fog gives one the feeling of peace...and the grass seems to cozy up the trees and to the tops of the mountains somewhere..its a fantastic scene and you captured it wonderfully. The colours are amazing..I lived in Denver for a while..and anywhere south of there, near Raton Pass...and down..has some of the most delightful photos to grab...bravo for this one!!
There is no more thoughts on this one from me, because all and everything is spoken above, but I will definitely say this I LOVE IT!!!!!!! I love horses and the countryness of the picture. GREAAAAATTTTTTT JOB!!!! AND REMEMBER KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT TALENT!!!!!!

I am in the process of going thru your gallery. This is going to take me awhile. Don't know why I didn't discover it sooner. I don''t know if you still have the original posted with the huge flaw but I hope do. I am curious as to what it was. It would serve as an instructional aid to the rest of us amatures out here. Your currecnt composition is superb. Man, did you ever capture the fog. Superb capture.

Bob, I just happened to stumble on this image, and I'm glad I did. We need a road trip, and you can show me all of your secret shooting areas.
Seriously, this is my new daily desktop and in my favorites.
Thanks for sharing another masterpiece.
Hope your Family had a merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year.
