A mighty big sky captured in this Bob. The shaows cast by the Buttes are the size of some Towns! Stunning capture and an excellent photo. Thanks again for sharing from your outstanding portfolio.

Please don't tire of posting your art Bob.

A beautiful image and a nice composition. The horizon is a bit tilted but not bad. I love the color tones and lighting. Well done.

Excellent lighting, perspective and framing. The foreground / subject / sky balance works well. The soft colors help create a mood of calm and quiet, very peaceful feeling. The sky supports the overall mood and enhances the shot. Only question is about the horizon...it may be a trick of the perspective, but it looks a touch out of level.

This is a wonderful image. The time of day you selected to do the shot accentuates the buttes as they cast long shadows. The sky is gorgeous, and like your last post, this one also catches and transmits a feeling of the open, vast scope of the valley.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

I agree with the others, the composition, the time of day, the clarity, etc is all fantastic! But....you knew that, hehe.
Tks for posting this, I will probably never see this in person.

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

This shot is absolutley stunning, but has anyone else noticed, the horizon seems slightly tilted to the right?

Spectacular subject and capture. I think this shot (and a few others in your gallery) would be prime subjects for that new Canvas filter of yours. Do you take requests?

Very good shot and composition. I might have increased the color saturation a bit though, and I also noticed the horizon tilt mentioned above but think this might be due to the landscape, rather than not having the camera steady? Anyway, thanks for sharing.

C-index 77???? That is my one complaint about this site, that people with zero eye for photography are allowed to vote.
This shot is amazing.
