Bayoubooger has referred to me as Mr.Cabin fever. A complement I am sure. While I wait for a good day to create images out-of- doors I keep busy with some Still Life projects. Try some to keep your creative juices alive. This is a straight out of the camera image. No Photoshop layers. This image took three days to construct , light and capture. Day one was used to build the lava and fire. Day two was used to figure out how to place the smoke so that it could be lit without distracting from or hiding the jewelry. Day three, the shortest day, was used to capture the image. Just like magic all is not what it appears to be. This is also an illusion. A good exercise in creating a still life when you are snowed in.

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

It looks very real to me.The angle of the lighting you used casts a nice small shadow
and yet does not take away from the glow of the coals or any detail. This must have been a challenge to do and was very well done.

Well I don't know how you pulled this off, it looks pretty convincing to me. I think this shot would make a good CD cover or such. BTW you missed a "t" in the title I think.

Bob ..this is a very interesting image that must be viewed full sized to fully appreciate. It's worth a good examination as it is rife with details. I have NO idea what it must be like to be so committed to a photo to invest this much time. It's clear, from your work (this and ALL the rest) that you are committed. Well done.

Now .. *gently removes the jewellery, throws a grill on the stones and tosses a steak your way* ◊wink◊

Very striking and creative, and the attention to all the details is obvious. I certainly understand the cabin fever motivation.

This is a very nice image creation. Care to give us a tip on how it was done? Good job.

Nice job. I love Indian jewelry, but can wear it - skin blisters. I worked down in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona for some time, and even learned to make some of these myself (although it's not authentic Indian jewelry :)

This is SUCH a great photo.. definately material to STUDY for aspiring photographers like myself. You put so much time into this... definately came out great. It should definately have a higher c-index. 10/10, favs!!!

I can't believe how low the c-index for this is. The work you have put into this is amazing, and i love the end result. The fact no editing was done just makes it more amazing! The jewellery is very cool, and the smoke coming uo through the rocks just makes the photo!
