This image reminds me of Easter. I know that it is a bit early but Happy Easter to all just the same. I have been blessed to have a summer cabin jut 22 miles (39 kilometers) up the road that leads into the canyon. I can enjoy this beauty every day.

Great landscape, Bob. The white fog gives a surreal atmospher. Nicely done.
Did you edit something in the sky? The grey/brown colors of the sky is very different from the blue/green of the hills... :-)

MonAmi,
You are very fast today. I do not believe that this image was posted more than 30 seconds when I received your post. Thank you for the wonderful words. My Morning Fog Conejos Canyon is a right out of the camera image. A very nasty storm has just passed and the sun is back lighting the still angry clouds This is why is reminds me of Easter with all of the turbulence, strange lighting and angry clouds I can almost expect to see Christ rising from his tomb.
Merci.

Good morning Bob
I think I like this better than the first image. Like being on top of the world wondering what the people living under the cloud are doing. Another image to go into my favourites.

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

Bob ... I tell you what. I recognize the pattern, you can't trick me. Each of your pictures is better than the first. How 'bout you just stop the torture and show us your BEST picture now and get it over with! *wink*

I have NO idea how you capture these shots that so well invoke the feeling of standing on the cliff (with you) looking out...but I surely enjoy it.

Thank you.

Very weird sky, almost spooky with the muted tones of the hills. Good shot, Bob, what a view every day!

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

The landscape is amassing. But I was thinking the same thing too.Was the sky edited in. the lines seem to clean and thew sky seems a little out of pespective to the landscape

Wonderful shot, as is #1. Having viewed your website, though, I gotta say "Rising Fog in Conejos Canyon", with the gold tones in the foreground, is even more striking. I hope it finds its way onto Caedes someday...

You got some interesting colors in this shot, Bob. The lighted trees in the foreground contrast well with the dark clouds backlighted in the background, and the foggy valley looks - well divine :-) and how you found clounds with that color is spooky. You exposed it just right to bring out the colors without too much light.

A suggestion for a future shot of this valley is this: The ridge in the background is so solid that it might well work better as a dividing element in an image rather than as a background element. In this image you actually have two elements that compete with each other - the ridge and the foggy valley, and one draws the viewer away from the other. You have been blessed with more beauty than a photograph can contain!

I think the clouds make this one work...they seem huge and menacing...and the valley mist appears calm and serene in comparison.

That is a crazzzy sky in this photo- I, too, thought it was superimposed for a while.
