This is the10th in my Aspen series. This morning I received a note from Romane. He stated that he enjoys the peacefuliness ,of the areas, that I find to capture. This is the ultimate place to find peace. To sit at the edge of this mountain lake and let your mind go blank while listening to the stillness that surrounds you. It is the best way to obtain inner peace that I have ever found. This lake is located near Buena Vista, Colorado.

I love it when that happens;-) They are such magical moments in the right place at the right time. Did you wait for this to happen or was it something that caught your eye? Or did you see the ray of light heading toward that stand like a searchlight on the landscape? Very impressive scene Bob:-)

Romane is right. It is so hard to find peaceful places these days There is always something intruding. Your images help provide those places. This lake is just the place to sit and meditate. to let the frustrations of the world slip away. My thanks for sharing your wonderful peice of the earth.

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

This single beam of golden fire is a rare sight indeed. Makes me want to drift along in my canoe, no motors, just a peaceful lazy drift.

Thank you for letting me use this image and letting my mind go quiet while just staring at it! Much needed right now! Glad you *clicked* the camera when opportunity knocked! Another well done Aspen image. Really glad you shared it with me :))

Good morning Robert
The subdued background and foreground, the concentration of light across the small stand of Aspens - the feeling of quiet, of contemplation, of stillness is tangible. In a world that moves quickly and often frenetically, this image brings calm and soothing gentleness to me. Thank you.

good morning Mr CF, looks like the place i need to comtemplate my navel...i tend to keep a rod working in places like these, therefore i miss a lot of camera shots..but the scenes tend to be indelibly etched in your brain...

I've always believed that photography is half knowing the technical side and half having a good eye for an artistic shot. Some people can do one or the other, not both. You can do both. Another great post.

Bob, This just showed up on the "Caedes Home Page" and I knew I had to comment.
I can just see, smell and feel all the senses of fall. Makes me wish I had been there.
I'm going to use this for my Turkey Day wallpaper. It surely is a 10 image for me.

Thanks.
