My lovely wife, Annie (Cameraannie), of almost 47 years captured this image while at our cabin last year I am sure that most of you are tired of my Aspen series but this one was lost. Due to my computer crash, I discovered it while reloading all of our images.I am so proud of her work that I had to post this although it is a bit late for the series. Cameraannie would welcome all critiques that you would like to offer.

Breathtaking, i would get real nervous if i had this kind of scenery in front of me. Top marks. Dwight.

The painterly aspect of this image is astounding. It doesn’t take much imagination to see the brush stokes! I think it’s a truly artistic photo rendition of a marvellous scene. One that would be difficult to leave if viewed personally.

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross

Wow Annie, this looks like a tapestry woven with golden thread that resembles Aspen tree leaves! :).....what a beauty this is. I love the smokiness of the sky along with the natural forest of trees that provide such a dramatic contrast for those gorgeous Aspens! Glad this was found so it could be posted. Into my fav's on my hard drive :))

I still think it is a painting done by Annie while you were on vacation. The colors and clouds are just too beautiful to be real.

Good morning Robert
I tried to spell 'awe' so that it would be pronounced slowly with a slow fading/falling off at the end, but failed, in the same way that there are no words I can find that properly express how this beauty affects me. <bows to Annie> Beautiful. Thank you.

Annie ... you're going to have to yank the camera off Bob more often. Yes, the shot if of a wonder of God's creation ..but also, a wonder of your talent in 'seeing' appreciating the shot long before you touched the camera. Anyone can push a button. You show us, through these simple means, the beauty that stands before us all.

I'm grateful.

As to you Bob .. I'm happy that you found it and for your tag-team in presenting Annie's shots!

The image is just a little grainy in some parts but other than that - wow... Sometimes I forget that beauty so vast and and exquisite still exists in this world so I come to think of images like yours as being surreal. Awesome capture (and I don't mean that in the thoughtless way that the word "awesome" seems to get tossed around). This is truly great - the colors, the atmospehere, the contrasts - right down to the barest tree in the foreground. You're so lucky to see this in person!
Thank you Annie.

i don't know what else to say.. this one gets my highest marks and favourites. wonerful scenery, like it had been taken out of a fairy tale.. magical, yes, magical.
