Other signs that spring is near are nesting hummingbirds. Hummingbirds are the first nesters in my neck of the woods. By accident I found this Allen's Hummingbird nest about a month ago. I visit it now every time I go to my favorite spot. I am anxiously awaiting little beaks popping up.

What a stunning photo this is i have nether seen a Hummingbirds nest before thanks for sharing.Plus i was looking closely at the picture and i noted the bird as a almost metallic bronze feathers on it chest.Great photo.

An excellent capture and great find Garrett. It's not very often I spot a Hummingbird and I've never seen one in a nest.

This is soooooooooo precious!! What a find! How did you come upon this treasure? We have many hummingbirds here as well, and I have a hummingbird birdhouse. But a person has to hang it and then hang at least two, one on each side of the house, with food. As the females come and eat a LOT so they can keep up their strength before the babies get there. Such a miracle, those little birdies. You were so fortunate to findthis. Hope you will see the babies and get a pikkie of them too. Verena
