This bird is really cool. Usually it is very tough to distinguish between individual birds, but this bird has a birth mark. If you enlarge the image and look closely at its eye you will see a black dot on the left side of its pupil. I will now always be able to know if the next coopers hawk I see is this one.

I see the black dot on the eye. The hawk appears to be keeping a watchful eye on something. Excellent capture, Garrett.

I have seen them around here as well, how cool that this one a identifying mark. How cool it would be if you saw him again, this is so well focused, kudos once again on superb bird capture.

Marvelous capture Garrett. I've never heard of birds having birthmarks, but you've found a cleaver way of recognizing it again. I love the feathering on Coopers.
