Cloudy days provide amazing lighting opportunities if you know where to look for them. Lighting becomes uniform and shadows disappear. You still have to wait for the subject to turn its head just right to add the shine to eyes, but when it does, magic happens......

Wow the colours in this humming bird head are amazing and what a shine it as too.Superb caoture and love the setting the bird is in and the light in this shot.Plus great detail and very nice backdrop too.

Beautiful shot of this guy, Garrett!!! Did some research on Google and this fine speciman looks to be Anna's Hummingbird - similar to adult male Ruby-Throated Hummingbird with that magnificent iridescent reddish pink throat and crown!!! Simply an amazing capture!!!
