Passed by this beautiful field while on a Geocaching trip through Virginia and North Carolina. This was between Abingdon Va and Damascus VA. I wish the sky would have been blue but oh well!

A great capture...wonder what the history of this old house is?

I just love this shot...and I appreciate it that the photographer had enough confidence in the value and mood of this picture to avoid substituting another sky. To me, the mood here is clear determination, facing the world as it comes and not whining. A dark sky would convey a haunting mood, and a bright sky wouldn't work with the duller tones of the building.
