This is another Ring Billed Seagull with a darn good catch for lunch. Used Nikon D50 with Tamron 70-300 lens set at 165mm. Shutter was at 1/1250 aperture at f/5.6 and ISO at 400.
I think one of the skills you have is to keep the image very simple-no cloying environmental distractions.so well done here as the contrast is terrific and the reflection makes it better........
Beautiful catch yourself, Gerry! Do the other seagulls have anything to do with this one? I'd be jealous if I were one of them and saw what this guy captured.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Well, his got "his" I see...as you certainly got yours. I've got to show my photography teacher this one... *waves to Art..hi*.... He's always harping on 100 ISO is the only setting that is going to afford you the sharpest quality you can get...I beg to differ with him as I look at this at 400 ISO...I don't believe I'd want to see this any more sharply presented..it's perfect and I hope these last two uploads that are now in my bird fave folder don't scare away all the other birds in it..LOL....
Great shot. If this is ice he's standing and the fish is frozen, then he could be saying "I remember the days when we had fast food" (ok, I hear the groans)
Please know that I enjoy your work even though I don't always get to comment. I try to look at (and enjoy) all your new posts and always appreciate the time you take to stop in at my gallery as well. Have a happy day ;) Anita
