This was taken Monday at Point Pelee national park..which is along shores of Lake Erie..very well known bird watching area. There was this family of Canada Geese in the marsh area...I think this baby could not be more than a week old. Used Nikon D50 with Tamron 70-300 lens set at 185mm. Shutter at 1/640..aperture at F/4.8 and ISO at 200.

wow Gerry! this has to be the cutest and best photograph I have ever seen of a gosling! absolutely wonderful and right into my favourites! I have been watching the Canada Geese and their babies from my office window this last week - I keep getting my binoculars out to look at them! :)

After a bit of an absence, partly vacation but mostly tax season...busy for bookkeeping businesses... I'm glad to be back out here with at least 'some' regularity. I've missed everyone and am glad to have a little more time again.
you know what a sucker I am a sucker for those honkers and even more for those little honklets! Awesome shot - love the illuminated sparkly effect on the individual tiny feathers !
