Sorry I can't help you with the ID on this butterfly, but the photo is wonderful! Your detail is so sharp and the color very naturally saturated. Thanks for including the exif on this. A 10 in my book!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I've got to get a remote. This is such a lovely image and there's not a bit of blur to mar this in any way. Went straight to my birds and butterfly file!!

An excellent composition...a lovely splash of blue against those wonderful pastel shades of greens and whites. Can't tell you what type of butterfly it is, but you've certainly created a perfect presentation...Jacquie

Hey Gerry when did you get your remote. Last time I saw you, you were playing with Terry's. Wonderful shot of the butterfly, I can't wait to get back in the forest.

Hi Gerry The Butterfly is a RED SPOTTED PURPLE Limenitis arthemis astyanax, some times it gets mixted up with the WHITE ADMIRAL who has a broad white band on it's upper & under sides the Red Spot has no white band. But they inner breed then you get some with a little white they are Beautiful & your photo is Beautiful great job. I hope I helped.
