Life's around said Phil the 35 millimetre cameraman. I recently went to the doctors, and said I've got icon fever, but he told me there was no cure for the disease. Flossies gallery's here
I knew a woman once who numbered her husbands. It was husband #2 this and #5 that and #6 this and that. Maybe that's what this young female is thinking. Excellent clarity as usual and good framing. Are you an Oregon Duck fan? Just wondered.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Cousin of the infamous blue billed variety lol - this is the orange version!
A very nice portrait of this one Gerry, shes a beauty.
Great detail on this shot - I notice that this one does not have the blue/green coloured bit on the tail feathers as ours do. I have been reading a bit about them - they are the ancestors of most varieties of domestic ducks and the colder the location the larger they grow and the smaller their ears (to conserve heat) Another interesting fact is that approx 19% of most males in mallard populations are homosexual - well I never!
The male/females only stay together until the eggs are laid.
I have some more shots of those little ducklings I have been trying to improve but they are not really working out.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
