This picture of this Female Cardinal was taken yesterday at birdfeeder station in Objibway Nature Preserve. The lighting seem to accent her colors nicely...although it is soft focus...

What an amazing picture of a beautiful bird. A perfect Christmas gift to go into my wallpapers that I have set aside to use as a way to honor my Mom. She loved taking care of any birds that would come and visit her and Dad's yard, but Cardinals were her favorites. I do believe that she choose this lovely lady to remind me that she's still there for me. Seem to always miss her more (if that's possible) around the Holiday season. Thank you and Happy Holidays to you and your family and friends!!

That's another beaut. I love cardinals..I may have said that before. (Although not the St. Louis Cardinals.) The male is the more strickingly beautiful, but the female is not far behind.

How dare Jim Bobsled to say he doesn't love the St Louis Cardinals. He's probably an Indians fan. lol Great photo and it looks like she's been to the beauty shop and had her hair spiked. I mean feathers. Just a great photo and I really like the wisp of a limb she's perched upon. It really adds to the composition of this shot. Merry Christmas, Gerry.

This is a wonderful shot. I tried to catch some cardinals during my recent trip to Kentucky, couldn't get them to sit still. Very well done, she's beautiful! Happy New Year!
