I posted this for all you St Louis Cardinal fans...(Tick!!). This picture was taken a few months back. He does look like he is balancing on this branch with his tail feathers pointing down.
Well, I'm getting out my clippers, and scalping that cardinal before Tick even gets to look at it. LOL. Wahoo! The Tribe is on the warpath. ...Another excellent shot, Gerry. Cardinals are my favorite bird.
Reading the comment of Jim above, can't say that Cardinals are my favorite birds, as we don't have them in Europe in the free nature (as far as I know). Have about your shot however the same opinion Gerry, as it's an excellent one to me as well.
Regards, Cornelius
Great detail on them there feathers, and bird, the background looks the same as the Chickadee I just posted, comes out like that on a cloudy day, but really makes that Cardinal red stand out. Faved, and I am a Cards fan as you know.
It certainly is a balancing act Gerry
Hey if he wasn't trying you could rename the shot "Clinging on act" So many people are attracted by this birds dazzling colour, this one seems to have turned the scenery b/w !!
Well done Gerry
A stunning flier!! It does come across, to me that is, a wee punched in the colorings though and the details kinda pushed in post perhaps, but hey that's just my .02 cents. 8~)
I'm from MO so I'm a Cardinal fan!! So, great tribute to a great team!!

I just teasin' baby, just teasin'!! I won't shoot!!
If Jimtribebob touches one feather on that Cardinal he's in trouble. Cardinals have the same capabilities as a pigeon or gull if need be. Excellent Photo Gerry and you can guess it went right into the faves. It's just a wonderful photo.
That black band across his eye almost make him look like a bird that belongs in a Steven King movie. You wonder what evil will soon follow. Great capture, Gerry.
