After spending a few hours at a forest preserve (of which I will be submitting pics from) I came home and found this guy and proceeded to snap off several pics. I just think it's kinda' ironic to go out of my way to try and find a pic like this and it was at home the whole time...lol. Anyway I have quite a few of what I think are submittable pics from the entire day between the forest preserve and home. Enjoy!

Awesome shot Tim!!! Great clarity...and the blue sky really brings it together nicely. I look forward to seeing more from your trip.

That is an awesome pic. Really good focus and nice blurring of the background.

Life's moments are sweet. I just want to capture all that I can of them.

Tim: Excellent color and clarity and the angle was just right to produce a nice, out of focus background which causes this menacing fellow to appear 3-D. If I were an insect I'd be frightened right out of my exoskeleton.

Had to give it a 10 in the VB - it's perfect! And, you're right, click click, there's no place like home! :)

Virtually perfect.

Even the angle is great since most insect photographs tend to be from a 'looking down' perspective.

Thank you for capturing this great close-up. The Mantis is sacred, and should never be harmed, but protected. Great shot!!
