im not a pro web-designer by any means.. so this looks more like an artistic rendering of a design... i see the menu as a free floating window with the pages below on the second window.. along with an internal scroll bar.

your work with the spider logo is awesome, very abstract and well done. i think with those colors and that font though, it doesnt fit for a general desktop/artwork place like Caedes.net. it looks like an ancient scroll.

I really like the abstract designs here, it would make a great skin. however, I'm wondering if it would be possible to have a scrollbar such as this in the actual HTML..?

i have seen many sites with scroll bars embedded in the site.... well reddawg fonts and colours are the simplest things to cgange for me.. so that'll be fine for me to fine tune :D

I appriciate the agressive style of your design. i think it goes well with the name of the site (if you remember the meaning of "caedes"). The spider arms waste a lot of space on the left, but they sure are cool looking! I also like the overlap effect that you have.

One bad part, from an implementation perspective the inner window with separate scrollbar would probably never happen. If you use frames or iframes to do it then the search engines hate you and people can't bookmark individual pages within the site. If you use CSS and javascript it's a real headache to make sure it works for everyone.

I'd also probably not use a special font for the navigation links. I'd have to make each one an image. That would take a lot more work and prevent me from undating the links as often. OTOH I could make a script to automatically make the images.... hmmm....

Oh yeah, pleasing color selection.

lol..well thank you caedes :D .. well fair enough on the inner window..we can't have the search engines pissd off.. they do provide us with so manyfresh members.. and likewise i wouldn't want to annoy members by preventing them from bookmarking :D

as for the font.. well Im easy with fonts ... the main reason for the font's was just a change from the normal... but aas i dont do and website coding.. i didn't know you couldn't change the font that creates the navigation links...

thanks for stopping by the site design gallery and taking the time to look it all over :D

I like this design for the caedes interface. Very good idea, and nice ancient look. Great work.
