I've been working on my previous Angel image a little bit more. Still not sure which way i want her facing, but based on suggestions i've gone for this. Some stock from stock.xchng and the un-edited images can be seenHERE.
Like this a lot Grim. the atmosphere you created is quite special, as always. ghotic and melancholic^^. it would not be out of place on a cd cover^^. I particularly like the expression on the girl, ii's like an invitation to come to her world^^.
Personnaly I prefer the wings this way, they look more natural. but I quite liked the colors on the previous one. When I look at it full size there's a a bit of bright, clear blue tone on the sky which perturb a bit the the feel of the pic. ( but maybe it's just a problem with my monitor^^)
Just by curiosity... I noticed that in a lot of your work, your image are often dominated by one colors or by a gradation... it's not a reproach (I do it too^^ ) but I think it'll be great if you played with more colors, to still have different colors for each elements of your compo... or maybe just use a dominant color then just add a touch of contrast with another strong color just to disturb things a little...
Thanks guys :D.. your both right about those wings.. they were bugging me in the first version, but im much happier with them now!
Lucy.. i think i know what you mean about the sky, i threw a bit of blue and cyan into the highlights! I've always been a fan of mono-tone and duo-tone artwork and so thats often a major factor in the way my images turn out, it's also a bit of lazyness. It's much faster (and simpler) to produce these manipulation images using this technique. I do most of my chopping up in normal image colours.. then at some point i'll flip over to B&W and finaly colourise at the end!
But maybe just for you i will do my next one in standard colour!
Graeme, oh yes, the wings now have a natural looking placement. This one looks great to me and is already in my desktop image folder. The image is pleasing to the eyes in a dark, disturbed way. High marks from me. :c)
Hot diggidy! An awesome image. You're putting these images together so well, everything fits. The look on her face, the shadowing. Its a 10/10 from me.
Hi, it's me again. I checked out your un-edited versions of this...wow...you really did a heck of a job. Your model sure is a cutie. Is she your daughter? She looks very young. I really like this piece. Very nice indeed. 10 from me. Sarah
i liek this image.. very good :) ... was tryin hard to decide which one i prefered more out of the two, but i think i finally settled on this one.. although i liked the other one coz it looked like she was hiding more. well done
thanks guys and gals.. it was a nice image to put together..required me to paint some of the image in photoshop by hand, not something i do that often.. so it was a interesting image technicaly for me! The girl who wishes to remain nameless, is someone who saw my work and requested an image to be made from one of her photos!
