I really like this kind of work, gives it a spooky effect as if something is about to happen. Well done, cheers.Al.

I think this image is great but would be perfect if you could take out the glare circles. They sorta degrade it.

I really think your overall filter work is excellent. The lens flares distract slightly.

The sun is bright, but that's what gives it the feel. It makes me think of an alien planet that is closer to it's sun. Kind of the same feel as in the movie "pitch black" but that planet didn't have any forest. Overall, nice effect and setting.

I like your color layering as well Rob. It is very reminiscent of your abstract work. I was just complimenting BJ for incoporating her signature abstract style into a recent photograph manipulation she did and I extend the same to you. It is nice to see something that is totally different from you but still has your style in it. Good work~

Thanks for the comments everybody. As always, much appreciated.
I do have a second version without the lens flare that I may post down the line.

Great job on the revision. Can you recreate this image (lighter) as well? In any case -- many thanks!

wonderful fairy-like feeling, excellent colors and mist. But I dont think the glare is useful, i'd prefer the picture without it. 9/10

yeah, it was a bw snap. I colored it by creating 8 layers in Photoshop and giving each layer a distinct color. By changing the opacity of the different layers the colors will begin to "mix". I then guassian blurred and erased parts of some layers to give some variance in what was a plain snapshot.
Thanks for asking. : )

Goodness, how did I miss this one. This is excellent work, and the glare adds to the effect, keep it. Hmm, another to go in my favs, gonna have to discontinue that trend :p

I like the lens flare too. This conjours up images of scenes from Rashomon, the Japanese film directed by Akira Kurosawa. Very nice tones which create a dreamy, magical atmosphere.

I really like this image. It really has a very fluidly dynamic feel to it. Good job on the manip. Who knows maybe someday I'll get the nerve to try it myself. Right now I just enjoy images from those that know what they are doing.

Being relatively new to photoshop myself i cannot imagine how much time and effort was put into this. However, its absolutly beautiful. I really like it. Into my favs, in fact the first and only thing in my favs right now.

It's a fine shot, but I've seen the photoshop lens flare enough that it looks cheesy to me. Good use of sepia tones. I gave it a 7.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
