I have been waiting for almost 6 months to photograph this fountain at night. It is located across the street from the main Ohio University Library and greets all who exit through the lower entrance. The name refers to stone dragons which surround the base of the fountain, but which are not visible in this shot. Hope you like!

Very nice image, the light and composition are dead on. I really like all of the energy this image gives off. Well done. This is an image best viewed full size. The impact is awesome. 10 by me and in my favorites.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.

Stunning shot, you've really captured the contrast between the smooooooth water and rough fountain.

The comments above are spot on. It would be an interesting comparison to look at photoimagery's onion shot recently - it shares these beautiful lush textures and sepia tones.

Ah, the old 'benefit those who exit through an entrance' ploy. I really enjoy nightime photography, did a lot of it when I still used my camera ... you know, the cheesy stuff, zooming while exposing the shot, ferris wheels moving ... in other words CRAP.

I really like this. Maybe have your significant other sit there, a little fill flash, put it on your mantle. Thanks for sharing
