The big winter storm that hit the midwest dumped large amounts of freezing rain that caused havoc on the roadways, and coated everything in a thin layer of ice. The needles in this photo are from the tree Tsuga canadensis - eastern hemlock. Hope you like it!

I love it, but you know I think I would prefer without the boarder Greg, this image says much on its own and the black enhances the effect of the freezing rain.

I agree with June, I think in this picture the case of the white lines takes away, since the background is amazingly black as it it! Still an awesome shot nonetheless :) Thank you for sharing it, high marks from me :)
