This old workshop no longer hears the sounds of cobbler at work. It now sits in the quiet world of neglect. THIS IMAGE IS COPYRIGHTED AND NOT AUTHORIZED TO BE POSTED ON ANY OTHER WEBSITE!

Excellent post work which is the norm coming from you. Russ, I really like the mood of this one, and wonder what the history is of this place. This would work very well for the new contest. tigs=^..^=

Effectively capturing light coming through a window is the tricky part. You did it so well, Russ.

Extraordinary image...the grain of the wood beams forming the window frame, the chains and assortment of tools, the overgrown vegetation out the window that signifies the place has not been used in awhile...the lighting and POV is wonderful...outstanding work.

I love images like this. Perfectly composed and thought provoking image - can almost hear the echos of the cobbler's hammer.
Splendid contest entry.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Wonderful shot and composition, when view in full the windows made me think that they looked like Stain Glass, something like the ones my husband made. Really like the detail of that wood, can almost feel the age and roughness.

It takes a special eye to see and compose and then produce such beautiful art. Thanks for sharing this world of textures, life and memories.

The subtle lighting, the scattering of tools and leather, and those gorgeous textures in the wood jamb make this a framable piece of art, not simply a Caedes submission. Beautiful and calming, it should do well in the contest.
