The back room at The Abyss, Houston, TX 1998. This was from a project I did on the underground music scene in Houston. I was actually calibrating my meter and this is the first shot of the roll. I tried to duplicate the concept later but it just wasn't the same.

I like this, it's a good capture of a quiet moment between friends. The slight grainy quality adds a bit of an edgy look I think. Sometimes the shots we don't plan have more impact than those we do. Thanks for sharing this.

From quiet homes and first beginning, Out to the undiscovered ends, There's nothing worth the wear of winning, But laughter and the love of friends.

Chris - this is a very good natural shot with lots of interest in there and quite a classic style to it in lighting and contrast. I had a quick look at your gallery over on your web link and there is some excellent stuff there too. well done.

This is awesome. It is a wild picture, with this innocent teenage moment juxtaposed in front of the insanity of the city written behind them. Made my heart leap out a little bit. Great job.

If this shot was posed it could have fooled me. It looks very candid. The wall art is beyond my mental reach but the conversation is within my grasp.

This is really nice. And the fact that these two people are having a conversation, and the words graffiti on the background are all the words they're saying and not saying. Very nice. I just moved from Houston were I had lived for 16 1/2 years... so this picture is a little nostalgic for me :D Beautiful :)
