First digital photo post ever, Canon Powershot SD700IS. Still kind of struggling to figure out how to make this thing keep everything in focus. Anyhow, thought I would upload something, haven't in a while. Cheers all.

I will try to offer some suggestions for you.

If you want to take sunset shots try for an area that does not have so much distraction. The power lines and buildings and such. Using a tripod will really help hold the camera steady for the shutter speed needed for this kind of shot. Using a shutter release will offer even more help. A nice attempt but really not a good wallpaper image for this site. Try again using some of this advice, and good luck.

The photo is a bit dark but I like it. You could try to blur everything but the houses. That would make the photo more intersting.

A good post!

A very busy photograph. Eave in the upper right is a distraction.
