"White Trillium" - When White Trillium flower ages, it turns pink. Many people mistake this for being an entirely different species of Trillium.

In my neighbours backyard - taken last late summer (2014). She told me when the big white ones start to fade they turn a pink, so I had to go see it for myself and of course this is one of the images I took. It was after she had watered her garden so there the glare white spots are the water-droplets picking up the light.

I tried cloning them out but didn't have much luck, I just didn't have much patience today, lol. If you like feel free to download and see what you come up with. Just let me know and you can send me the re-work to my personal email.

If you view in full you can see how parts of the pedals are beginning to show their age, you might say. I do like the way the water droplets on the one pedal at the edge makes it look magnified.

Used Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 to bring out more detail, also used layers to darken the background. Then used my usual site iPiccy.com for downsizing the image to upload here.

Thank You So Much for your Comments in Advance, plus taking the time to stop by, deeply appreciated.

Have a great day, ♥ Skates

Great shot Pat - well presented!!! I like the lighting and water droplets. Nicely done and I liked your narrative as well. p.s. When I first viewed your image, I thought the flower strongly resembled clematis - did some research - clematis has more petals:-):-):-):-):-)

Excellent focus on the beautiful foofy, Pat. I like the work you did on the background, and I especially like the wet look. Very nicely done!

That's a common trait in some white flowers Pat - some lilies and mums do the same. A nice capture, now when do you suppose we'll see this years trilliums - not too soon if our 5.8" of snow today is any indicator!

It is a beautiful flower. I think I will let the water drops dry rather then clone them.

Seems sad that such beauty lasts such a short while Pat. It is almost as though this one is crying because it knows the end is near. Nice capture.

Lovely pastel colours and looks good when viewed at full monitor size - would make for a really relaxing desktop picture...
As an aside, I notice that you have Elements 10, but use a program called iPiccy to downsize the image to fit on Caedes. I have the full version of Photoshop and use the 'Save for Web' facility to convert to PNG and downsize to the limits (<3200 pixels) set by the site. Have had a quick Google and I think you can do the same in Elements.

The white spots aren't a problem Pat...it's just part of the bokeh. If you wanted to remove them you could make a duplicate layer and darken it then take a soft brush and erase until you see the beautiful flower below emerge leaving you a dark background. That was just one thought and there are other ways. Beauty of a picture Pat.

A great capture of this aged bloom, Pat. Good focus and beautiful colours in the photo. The catch lights aren't a problem in the image. MJ's right, you can downsize the photo from within photoshop elements.

Nice image of this aging flower. I think you shouldnt try to change the photo. Its very well presented.
