Captured this when we were in Bermuda on our 43rd Anniversary back in September 2014. My husband & I were walking up to Crystal Caves Bermuda, my husband did not go into the cave because he doesn't like small places.

When we were walking by the huge Banyan Tree I could not resist stopping to take some shots of this huge tree & all the trunks . I've always called it a Walking Tree, really liked all the different textures, patterns & thicknesses they created.

You can find these trees through the deep south / southern states.

Did the post work bringing out more detail & turn it into a B/W in Adobe Photoshop Elements, then to make it smaller I used iPiccy.com. If you view in full you can see I left just a touch of green which fads into the B/W. Hope you like the results, of course this is for the Challenge.

Thank you for your time and comments in Advance. Have a wonderful & bright day

Nice find. We had one with a tall thick base at my elementary school playground in Ft Lauderdale, Fl. We would climb all over it during recess. This one looks more kid friendly. A good image of this cool tree.

Excellent shot Pat - I remember the huge banyan tree at the Thomas Edison property in Ft. Meyers Fla. - they are amazing.

---I've always called it a Walking Tree---

With all these 'legs' it's a very appropriate nickname Pat.

Impressive entry for the B&W challenge my friend.

Amazing capture, Pat. This is like the nursery rhyme where "she had so many kids" - this tree has so many trunks. Looks great in b&w.

I can see myself getting wedged in between the trunks and having to have a rescue team come to get me out. Great looking black and white shot of this unusual tree, Pat. Well done.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
