It was a little after 5pm and about 20 degrees out with a very spectacular moon. Not the best shot I know, but I like the way it sort of glows on the branches...
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Again well done Joe! I love the deep midnight blue sky, the cold moonlight shinning on the brittle brown branches and the darker branches with the last diehard leaves hanging on (to life, maybe) for a little longer... And I really like that leaf that looks a little like the small bird who forgot to fly south and now he's confiding his sadness to the moon. Great shot, mood and composition. Great desktop too - any possibility of having it reversed? It would be a such a shame to hide that moon under my icons LOL.
