What is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare. No time to stand beneath the boughs And stare as long as sheep or cows. No time to see, when woods we pass, Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass. No time to see, in broad daylight, Streams full of stars, like skies at night. No time to turn at Beauty's glance, And watch her feet, how they can dance. No time to wait till her mouth can Enrich that smile her eyes began. A poor life this if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare. Author: William Henry Davies. Hope you injoy. Thanks for any comments. Dwight.

The squirrels in my backyard are a source of great amusement for me and a source of consternation for my dog, katie. I found, a few years back, that they love hickory nuts (I think they're hickory nuts, might be chestnuts, I dunno) and I found a great source for these on one of my dog-walking trails. So I gathered up a bag and dole them out ("who's your daddy") a couple at a time so that I remain in their prayers. Or, when talking to an Indianan, "Hoosier Daddy"

a very nice poem there.. but this little fellow has all of the time in the world to live a careless life, heh :)

the image is strikingly beautiful, it goes straight into my favourites. and the squirrel is cute.. the look in its eyes is adorable :) i'm surprised it didn't ran away when you tried to photograph him.. who knows, maybe he's posing :))

the thing i like the most are the tremendous details - what a sharp and clean shot you had made! thank you for posting it! :)

The commentary is better than the squirrel. None the less, what a pose. He looks like he was ready for you. Wish the sun would have been out to cast some light in various places. Great shot.

I got some pictures of ground squirrels once. They are more skiddish than tree squirrels, but was about 2ft. away. This is a great shot! Even better than mine. Thanks!!
