From Winsum, the road meanders to Garnwerd, towards the bridge across the Reitdiep. Youll face a difficult choice here: sit down at the outdoor caf by the water or continue to the beautifully located Aduarderzijl, where a battle against the water once took place, and where the lock on the canal became a strategic point during the Eighty Years War, as well as the year of disaster (1672)

The lighting along the meandering road makes your composition so very interesting.

I'm always a fan of bulb, or open-shutter, photography, creating so many different kinds and strengths of contrasts in color light, shape, and texture. Without reading your post I can tell right away that this is not in the US but, rather, a European country where forward traffic is on the left side--taillight streams--that it's someplace where highway architecture involves more creativity--the unique bridge guardrails, as opposed to the rails on the curve past the bridge--and that the settings might likely have been an f-stop of around 10 with an exposure time of nearly 20 seconds--the time needed to create a taillight trail as long as this one. I love it.
