The rising of Lake Kinneret's (ISRAEL) water level presented me with this minimalist picture. The opposite shore and sky almost blend together, leaving the rock by its self alone on the lake. This was taken with a Pentex Kx, iso 200; F13 at 8 sec; late afternoon in March 2011.

Excellent picture. The rock makes a great subject, and the mist adds a lot. Three things that I think would make it better would be 1. Make it B&W (or at least lessen the blue) 2. Add some contrast. It would help create more mood in the picture. 3. You can't change this now (unless you crop), but next time position the rock away from the center and more into a corner. Nonetheless, this is definitely one of my favorites I've seen in the contests entrants.
