This is the second highest waterfall in the U.S. at 620 feet and is one of the most visited sites in Oregon. It is a favorite place for taking out-of-town visitors in the magnificant Columbia River Gorge. All comments and suggestions for improvement will be appreciated.

Stunning capture, JoAnn, and I envy you for actually having stood at this waterfall and been close enough to photograph the scene so magnificently.

I'm glad you gave details of the location: I saw a painting of this scene recently* but didn't know where it was. Delightful image!!

What a spectacular view, and the trees that line both sides of the bridge are also lending their natural beauty as framing to the composition. It must have been an awesome experience to be there in the presence of all that energy. Thanks for sharing your view ;)PJ

This is a photo taken by thousands upon thousands every year. Its an easy photo to capture, which is great, because where the fence is is where the tourists can stand...and for you to have gotten the whole waterfall is great. By showing its total vertical quality, you got it all.I also like the fact you got some of the Autumn colours! Very nice.. Its such a beautiful waterfall, I just wish the parking area were closer by LOL...its a grand shot you got here, bravo my friend!!..verena

this is a beautiful photo. the guy on the bridge is a good place for the eyes to land, and makes the photo just a little bit more itneresting.

Beautiful capture and presentation, JoAnn! I love the hint of lilac tones, that contrast so nicely with the variety of foliage! I also like that you kept the lower black fencing in the shot! Nicely framed too! Excellent work!

Gee... I don't know what you could improve on, other than maybe going back and shooting it again with a 2014 camera, with more megapixels? Frankly, for a 2006 submission it's a knockout. The symmetry and matched trees have all the flavor of traditional Japanese watercolor. I love waterfalls and find this one to be exceptional. -Nik
