i have been having a difficult time with the frame on this photograph. i hope it didn't come up uneven on your computer. this vista is in fact a HUGE area.
Well i think that it looks great. You really forget have vast the planet is until you see pictures like these. I really can't see anything wrong with it. Keep up the good work.
** For the next few weeks, I will not be Commenting as much as I should, I Will be looking at ALL of your Picture posts...I apologise from the bottom of my heart for this...Things should be back to 'normal' after the holiday period**
Hi Jen, I see what your talking about. The lighting on the landscape is odd and the sky looks a little grainy. Its possable that your software for your pics may have done that or you took that pic at a smaller size and enlarged it. If you have XP Windows on your pc, use windows software for downloading your images to your pc. That software does not change or enhance anything, you get exactly what you downloaded. Some of the software that comes with these digital cameras are desighned to enhance the images by default, you may beable to change that. It just might be, that image just didnt turn out as good as you hoped.
This image is still a very nice image and I think its still a desktop worthy. Just remember not all pics are going to turn out. Heck just yesterday I took 50 shots and none of them were worth uploading....lol I know what was wrong, it was a setting that I changed for my daughter's concert....lol oh well
Oh I just thought of something else, when you resize your images for here make sure you uncheck the box for perserve aspect ratio
Well, I'm with you Jennie, there is something that is "off" about it. I stared at it for a loooooong time. I think it's the focus. It's off just a hair over the entire picture. So is the lighting. That is not to say you don't have a good eye. You do or you wouldn't have said what you said. I think your camera "hiccupped" on that day.. Oh well, move on.

Hey Jen what a lovely view! I have to agree with Pat on this, I think the focus is just a tig off with the lighting (in the foreground) a bit bright. It is still a wonderful image though, well done!
I envy you such breathtaking views my friend. I suppose they leave you stunned and excited. So great you are so kind to share them with us! The weather conditions made it possible for you to reach with your camera far beyond the horizon line... The photo gives the feeling of the vast open space. I wish I could fly...
wow this is so beautiful! i personally like that the focus is a touch off and that its a bit grainy...it makes it look like an old photo, like looking back in to the old west or something. and the lighting is great, the large amount of contrast really adds to that old photo feel that i get. just love the colors, and the shot as a whole, great work! and a 10/10 in the voting booth! ~abby
One can almost see the Stage Coach bearing "the Duke" racing before the indian raiders. Colors are fantastic. It is amazing you were able to capture such a grand vista, even in part.
I also think your software may have done you in as another said. Even that does not take away from your excellent composition. Clearly, you were the target of an acient indian shaman who did not want you to capture the valley's soul.
