generally when i walk, i'm on the street looking down at this scene. the only road around the island of kauai is narrow and a single lane, but it is shared by cars, pedestrians and cyclists. this picture was taken pretty early in the morning when the water looks calm. in the afternoon it builds up to a much wilder state. this is the side of the island which has enormous surf in the winter. thanks for your kind words and suggestions!

You're making me really envious Jen and missing these beautiful sights. The color of the water is magnificant against that blue sky as well. The lighting and clarity are both right on and perfect. It is a very calming scene, even with the wind blowing through that palm the way it is. Awesome post and thanks for sharing it.

Umm... Wow! Looks like a postcard to me. Wouldn't change a thing. The water has a terrific blue color, terrific sky color and the vegetation is in perfect clarity. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful Jen! I don't have all that green, but the beach here on the east coast of Fla looks almost as good! aside from the storm that's comin up on us from cuba!! May have to run home!!1

A friend of mine works in a camera store. The other day a very
confused looking woman approached the counter and handed my friend
a camera. She said "I took pictures, but I forgot to have film in
the camera. Can you please get them out of the camera for me?"
