This kingfisher was quite close to me and didn't seem to care. Kingfishers sit on branches for long periods and then zip through the air so quickly. Thanks in advance for any looks or comments. ENJOY!

Great timing for this shot, Jen.. Reminded me of a time many years ago, when a teacher told the class , I had my head screwed on right.
Never understood what that meant till now :-).

What a great capture, of this most unusual looking bird, his head is almost as big or bigger than his body, such a good poise. Tigs♥ =^..^=

I think the Kingfish is a tad conceited judging from the size of his head WC.
Cool shot.

Another great shot, Jen. Looks like his head and body are mismatched for size. lol You sure got to capture a lot of wonderful wildlife in Brazil.

In nature everything has a reason, so its big head as well. To me Richie has hitted the nail on its head.
A wonderful image of this King of the Fishermen (lol), Jen.

I can't believe how big the head is. Nice close up. A little bit of noise in the photo, do you use any software to eliminate noise?

Jen - I join others in noting how large the head is in proportion to its body. You captured this bird very nicely as it posed for you at such a close distance. Thad
