Located on the Paria Plateau in Arizona. It's approached by 4 wheel drive vehicles only. Quite a place to see and photograph.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Beautiful lines and textures WC. You have one of the few animated avies that still works.
I find this intoxicating with all the lines, swirls and such.

This is a surreal landscape and so beautiful. That cone shaped rock adds an extra air of mystery , great photo.

Have some resemblance with a huge ice cream / sundae topped with whipped cream, but the the temperature would have melt it, Jen, lol..

Amazing and very fine capture. perfectly taken, my friend.

If we are on the subject of desserts, then this would rather be a sophisticated cake ... with icing on top but now made of sugar but caramel or peanut butter ...
Down below there might be some layers of chocolate, more caramel, whipped cream with peaches and finally wild strawberries with whipped cream ...
I could go on like that forever ...
My waistline would happily accompany my dreams in volume !
Good that I live in the area where mostly potatoes are growing on the plains ! LOL
Thanks and congratulations, Jen dear.

I sure hope you keep posting. This is eye popping. Of all the images of AZ, I don't think I have ever seen one of this place. KEEP-PAH.

P.S. I Googled this place and is one comment on it: "This is a VERY REMOTE area only accessible by a high clearance 4 WD vehicle. You have to really, really, really want to get there to find this place! You go through some DEEP sand and it is easy for your 4WD to get stuck. You are HOURS away from civilization." You were very brave, girl!

A wonderful photo of some of nature's amazing scenery. The swirls of color in the rock layers - the geological story must be fascinating. Excellent work, Jen!

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine The Earth without art is just 'eh'.
