Well, actually, she�s a 1947 Buick Roadmaster Convertible. I love her color and lines, those whitewalls and flared fenders. I believe that this car is in original condition and she is looking mighty good!!!!! I photographed this car at our local farm market, where every Friday night during the summer months a classic car show takes place. I am planning on going tomorrow night to try and catch up with some cars that I may have missed. This car is one of my favorites in the show - I also thought you might enjoy some fun facts for the year 1947 � The Average Cost of a New Home: $6,000. Average Wages: $2,850. Average Cost of a New Car: $1,300. Gas: 15 Cents Per Gallon. Loaf of Bread: 13 Cents. Postage Stamp: 3 Cents. Enjoy!!!!!!!

I am a couple years younger than that car, but I am no wheres near in that good a shape! Truly a beauty...and a beautiful shot as well, Laura.

Wowsie Laura, this is a breath taking looking classical ride. Like at that shine and love the lines of the body, gorgeous colours and super detail, wonderful colour on the interior what a wonderful contrast to the outside. Kudos on this one

Absolutely beautiful, Laura. She is, indeed, a beauty. I am so glad there are people out there who love these old cars and can afford to keep them looking like this. I would love to ride in this! You did a super job photographing it. (I know it is sometimes difficult at car shows in the way they park them to get a great shot like this.) Fav'd (That 15 cents a gallon sounds good!)

I'm 4 years younger than this car but I remember 15cent gas during price wars in the late 50's! This so so beautiful Laura - like a lemon cream puff!

Nice! And as Nuke88 said, a classic bug in the hubcap reflection. And if I'm not mistaken, just on the other side looks like about a 1963 Stingray. My favorite :)
