We have managed these scary steps into the tower, now look down at them and realise that its going to be tough going back down those little old steps again. The first part of the staircase is easy ish... and then we come to these almost vertical old ones that creak and look every moment of their age. I took one of them at the bottom but there is so little room there that it didnt come out so well. Now before we comtemplate how we will descend them, lets have a look through the lovely old windows. Feel free to open the windows for photos, but please make sure before we leave here that we close them all. To get down these steps, I have found that the best way is to go down backwards!! You can see how the legend of Dorothy falling down these horribly steep steps came about. I will go down first, watch how I do it, and if you do fall.... you can land on me lol

I think this is where the saying "Watch your step," originated. Or maybe it was "Thar she blows." Whatever, it looks pretty steep. Great shot Jo and your tour has been great.

I'll meet you at the edge of the sunlight, just behind the shadows. The Ghost
