This sepia photo reminds me of the photos I use to see in history books as a child about the Dust Bowl in the 30'ds.The people abandoned their homes and moved on with their hopes for a brighter tomarrow.
this is so cool. love these type of view. such history in it. it's a sepia more harsh with a great contrast and light and it's work very well^^. an excellent shot jojo, well done^^.
I knew it was you before downloading... --> The Jojo's touch !!!
Not for the sepia tone, but for the composition and your love of old barns or houses...
Thanks Lucy&Pierre. You are right about the abandoned buildings.I think Samatar was right when he said I like to photograph places that get little attention and bring them to light.
Peace&Respect Jojo
Very thought provoking is my take on your images as I have sort of hinted at before. I agree with the others about the rich sepia and the great Joe style composition. Great image Joe and your porfolio is overflowing with great photography, especially the recent sepia images:-)
Nice touch, Joseph! Yes, the sepia really ads to the 30s feel of abandonment and dispair in the Dust Bowl era. This is one house a coat of paint ain't gonna fix!
