When the brick begins to bake it makes for one sweaty cat on a hot tin roof.98 Farenhiet today with the humidity factor making it feel like 107.

"Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city
All around, people looking half dead
Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head."

It made me think of that song. :c)

The work of art may have a moral effect, but to demand moral purpose from an artist is to make him ruin his work. (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - 1832)

Beautiful shot! I love the dreary repetition of the windows in the dreary brick wall punctuated by the desperate window shades and the slash of grafitti. I wouldn't have seen this, but I'm glad you did.

All our lives, from the moment we're born no one sees what we do through our eyes. But when you take a picture, all that changes. - Karly Kohler

Thanks Regmar. This is actually not a bad part of the city.It is in an area with lots of lofts and highrise studios.

Great, creative shot. It reminds me of the Alfred Hitchcock film "Rear Window." You can really feel the heat in this shot. The windows and the brick look great on my destop.

Have to agree with Piner. This really stirs the emotions, something you always seem to do in your photographs.
