This is from the top of Newton Hills State Park. This was taken from a lookout tower they have up there overlooking the surrounding are. Seems like the trees go on forever from this view! Thanks everyone!!

A breathtaking view Dan ... it is so neat to see nature from high above. I have a view similar to this one in my extended backyard & I could look at it for hours. Excellent composition ... a wonderful shot.

Really nice Dan. I like that tree on the right. You are right about the trees going on forever. I guess this is where they keep watch for forest fires.

Green as far as the eye can see. I see a kiss of Fall in that pine tree which is very pretty too. Nice shot.

Dan, this is a lovely shot of a fine stand of trees. I'd like you to do Debblor and Chris a favor up there in ND and send them just a couple of these greenies...it's sooo dry and barren up there :) I can hardly believe you have such greenery in SD....next time I visit ND I'll have to swing by Canton and see this for myself....can hardly believe it .... lol ... :)PJ

This goes to show how much I know about the Dakotas. The last place I would have expected to see the endless sea of green such you've captured here Dan. Thanks for a great picture and thanks for straightening out the stereotyped image I've carried around all these years.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.
