An old farm implement (I believe it was a harrow) sits overgrown next to the field where it was formerly employed. C):-)

Talking about being put out to pasture. Excellent narrative and photo. I like the grasses hiding most of it. Good eye to spot this photo opportunity and excellent presentation. Goodun' Mr. Dillon

Oh my, what a harrowing experience this must be in the life of a piece of farm equipment...well, somebody had to say it!!

Well, at least Mother Nature is going to reclaim this one without too much fuss and bother. Love the light on the grasses, Sheriff.

That's the way I feel. Left out in the field to waste away. HA, HA -Not really. It is hard to be a machine. Good title.

A really nice & clear capture Dan. When I bought my Grandparents farm there were several well forgotten (retired) farm machinery stuck in the ground & one had a tree growing in the middle of it. Had to get the chainsaw out for that one. LOL. I like the lighting on the grass.

I love this shot. Soon that farm equipment will be invisible amidst the tall grass. The lighting is really nice in this one too and clarity is super too.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

What a wonderful still life this is. I hope this thing will be used one day again, just "went to sleep" in fall.

Not sure, but that looks more like the backside of an old McCormack hay rake, though it's hard to tell.
