but not forgotten. Who will stop by the roads and see the small flowers by the old ruins of Side? o_O Not so hard to guess... ^_^ There's something about thistles that I really like. They seem so unfriendly and agressive at the first glance but are really quite beautiful when you look beyond the general appearance. (IMHO) :-)

Never, have I looked this close at thistles, Klas. This is truly a wonderful photo and with each passing photo you present, I become more appreciative of your style. Great lighting on these brown tones makes this a quality piece for me. Thanks Klas:-)

Thank you Mary! :) And thank you all great folks on this site that makes me feel proud of what I do. ^_^ It's not a given that my work should be good and appreciated by others. (But I know in my heart when I've done a great job or not...) It's allways nice to get feedback on what's good and what's not so good. Without that I will never grow as a photographer. Thanks again! :)

really good find... sun bleached, looks like my desktop is now potentially about to burst into flames at any second. :D truly an under appreciated plant..its edible and has great medicinal properties.

Thank you Greame! :) I'm glad you liked it. Good finishing point too. (I didn't remember the medicinal use though.)

(That's a cool name you got by the way, I don't recognise it as traditionally English. Is it Norse or Scottish or something?)

Wow! Yup I love it! :-D Scottish names are really cool! ^_^ You look like you got some blood from the Old Vikings from the shot in the "Self Gallery". ;) (I'm a longhair myself but my beard is really short... I don't have that gene. ^_^)

...And imho, I believe you've shown us a stunning facet of the thistle. Forlorn p'raps with the brown bits and all, but you've captured those lil sunbursts so vividly. Thanks for sharing :).
