I think I'd like to submit this one to the contest... I'm not sure if it fits thought. It might be too hard to see the original file I used. This image is a combination through various blending modes in layors and some clipping paths plus burning and dodging of my two recent edits "Vortex" and "Whirling Blues". I used image A from the contest material and a shot of the interior of a pipeline from the local industrial area. ^_^ I hope you like it. Took me over two days to put together.

This is a piece of pure art, Klas. I think it fits perfectly into the contest; where would one want to draw the line? Kudos.

Well, my opinion is that by doing something different from everyone else, you only increase your chances in this contest. This is really nice Klas, I love how you have used the light reflection from the original to create that shimmery effect, and I think it's clear that this element came from the starter image.

the center of the image, the flower part, is awesome-- great colors that are also kinda unusual, and the texture and lighting is great, it's very real and yet fantastic at the same time. it is hard to see where the original image is, in fact i'm not sure where it is. the border areas of the image aren't as interesting as the center, but thats okay. its great

Thanks Bob. I really appriciate the feedback. It can be hard to see the original image, I know. Check our my other edit, "Whirling Blues" [ http://www.caedes.net/Zephir.cgi?lib=Caedes::Infopage&image=kjh000-1076459532.jpg (sorry, I don't know how to make live links) ] and see if it's not more obvious then. I made that one for the contest too and used a variation of it as a start for the centerpiece in this one. I made that other edit since I had a vision of making a flower of image A since the beginning of the contest. It turned out somewhat like I wished but I was'nt entirely happy and started to work on this piece instead.
