I shot this earlier this summer but I didn't think it was good enough. Its far from perfect but I decided it wasn't that bad. :) It's from a ravine just south of the outskirts of the city I live it. (Lund, Sweden)
Hehe. :) I know what you mean. They did look like they thrived there. They were rather used to people these sheep. They came right up to me when I took my photos. That's how I got my close-up shot (rather badly named:) "Cheap Edit"
I like it.... it looks so peaceful... so clean.... that short cut grass... and even the sheeps have the perfect coat size, not overgrown.. neither too short - now I am geting into details LOL! ...but seriosly very nice pic. :-)
I'm a little late to comment this new picture...
Really agree with Nicky about the "pastoral atmosphere". It's like a paradise!
Thanks to show us your beautiful country :-)
Thank you, Pierre, Gaz, Meg, Teresa and John. :) Teresa, I never know when you guys will like one of my photos or not. I only upload stuff I like myself but most of the time they are pretty much ignored. I guess my taste is a bit odd. ^_^
Wow this looks really great. I love the enviroment. And the water and animals there. Love the rolling green. Nice job. ..reminds me of my image: Speaking Words of Wisdom IV: Let it Be . Again Great image!

Thank you Rob and Sean. :) I see what you mean when you compare it to your image Sean. The creek meander in the same way. Your photo has very nice lighting BTW. It's hard to make it work so well with shots against the light (IMHO).

All the elements of this work toghether from a composition standpoint. The creek enters upper right and slowly meanders across to the lower left. It organizes the whole scene. The trees meander with it, repeating themselves nicely, back and forth. Finally, the shape of the valley also curves, both with the stream and as a shallow U across the frame. But without the sheep to occupy it (not too few, not too many!), the little valley might look too empty. Everything in its place!
I like this Klas. After reading your remarks, I've looked at it very closely. I think you're a little hard on yourself. Perhaps it's just a bit dark, but any more lighting would have increased glint on the water and foreground tree leaves. As mentioned about, the framing is beyond reproach. All in all, this is a gorgeous image, and there's no doubt it's a ten, at least in my book.
Klas, I’m glad you posted this one after all. It’s a real beauty. It reminds me a lot of the streams I played in as a kid, we made pretend boats made from twigs and leaves and sailed them downstream. The viewpoint you chose is just perfect. If the photo were brighter I expect the grass would have shown more yellow and wouldn’t look so lush. You have just enough sheep here to look interesting, more would have made it to busy. All in all it’s a job well done.
Thank you Robert and bgeek. :) I appreciate the input. I think I was lucky in many respect when I took this one, considering how the sheep spread themselves in the valley for one.
The thing I liked the least myself with it and the reason I doubted about uploading it was that the texture on some of the sheep's backs were burnt out in the highlights and I usually find that disturbing. In other words I definitely agree that the image should not have been brighter. It may seem a bit dark I guess, since the shadows on the left are quite deep because of my choice of exposure.
Hi Klas
today I was looking at your gallery again and found this image which I didn't remember seeing before.
Don't understand how I could possibly miss it.
Its a lovely landscape...allmost to lovely.
It gives me a feeling watching a landscape of the teletubbies.( children TV )
The greens in this image give me a spring feeling.
personaly I prefer less perfect landscapes...but now and then I can live with such pretty clean environement.
Lite fridfullare sceneri nu än när slaget vid Lund stod...:o)...var hittade du fel på den här..undrar jag...den är ju utmärkt...90 är rättvist...det blir en nia !
"Pastoral" has been the predominant word used to describe this scene and I have to agree. What a lovely scene. Beautiful and deep colors, perfect composition and great light. 10/10 and into favs.

Wow, I'm glad you decided to post it! Its a very good picture. I don't ever get to see landscape like this, and this makes me wish I could even more. Nice pic and straight to the faves.
I'm glad you posted this. I love the perspective. It's very intimate and a beautiful scene. I just set it as my wallpaper background. Thanks for posting!
Everytime I read something like: "I didn't think it was good enough" or something like this , it's always a masterpiece. (members in Caedes are getting too humble, lol). This picture is, even if it's a little dark to the left, but personaly I like the pictures as they are , all natural. Very pleasant quite and beautiful scene. Thanks Klas.
Damn I would like to be there, looks so peaceful, quiet and calming. Love my life in the city, but sometimes I wish I could just go away and rest in nature.
The colors are great and the water leads the eye through the whole Picture, really good shot !
